Surveyor and Draughtsman

Shelanti Agri is a specialist provider of orchard and vineyard infrastructure, advanced netting systems, and agricultural mechanisation. Operating from Ceres, the company focuses on supporting high-value fruit and wine-grape producers and works in close partnership with Valente Solutions in Italy, distributing their full range of structural and protection systems in South Africa.

The company is currently looking for a Surveyor & Draughtsman to fulfil a single combined role supporting the design and implementation of orchard and vineyard netting structures. This position integrates CAD drafting, RTK surveying, and site support to ensure accurate layouts and efficient project execution.

• Conduct RTK GPS surveys and perform site setting-out
• Set out pole, row, and anchor positions according to design
• Prepare and update CAD drawings (layouts, construction, and as-builts)
• Assist with material take-offs (BOMs) and technical documentation
• Verify installations on-site and support project managers
• Capture and manage survey and as-built data
• Coordinate between design, site teams, and international partners

• Diploma or qualification in Surveying, Draughting, or related field
• 1–3 years’ experience in surveying and draughting
• Proficient in AutoCAD / Civil 3D and RTK surveying
• Experience in agricultural or structural projects (advantageous)
• GIS knowledge (QGIS) (advantageous)
• Understanding of structural layouts (advantageous)
• Strong attention to detail and practical problem-solving skills
• Good communication skills (Afrikaans & English essential)
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel
