MINIMUM SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
- Ability to understand and produce technical drawings.
- Proficiency in Inventor and AutoCAD drawing packages.
- A proven track record in a similar environment.
- Ability to manage and schedule drawing projects to meet delivery dates.
- Minimum of 2 years experience working as a Mechanical Design Draughtsman using Inventor.
- National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Advantegeous)
- Ability to interpret and apply engineering standards.
- Exposure to a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to perform simple mechanical calculations.
- Computer literacy in MS Office packages.
- Experience with ERP/BOM systems would be an advantage
- Design and draught General Arrangement and shop detail drawings to specification.
- Engage with sales on customer requirements.
- Liaise with production and sales teams.
- Modify and revise designs to resolve and minimize production issues.
- Generate and verify BOMs for drawings produced.
- Provide general drawing office assistance.
