Junior Buyer/Estimator

Our client, based in Boksburg North, is a well-established supplier specializing in fasteners including nuts, bolts, screws, and related hardware. With a strong reputation in the industry, they are seeking a motivated Junior Buyer/Estimator to join their team and support their growing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with purchasing and procurement of fasteners and related products
• Source and compare quotes from suppliers to ensure competitive pricing
• Prepare accurate cost estimates for customer inquiries and projects
• Maintain relationships with existing suppliers and identify new sourcing opportunities
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate with warehouse for timely replenishment
• Work closely with the sales and operations teams to meet client requirements
• Ensure documentation and records are up to date and compliant

Requirements:

• Matric (Grade 12) is essential; relevant tertiary qualification advantageous
• Previous experience in procurement, estimating, or stock control (preferably in hardware/fasteners)
• Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
• Good communication and negotiation skills
• Computer literacy, especially Excel and email correspondence
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
