Key Responsibilities
- Managing residential and commercial property transfers from inception to registration.
- Preparing and maintaining accurate conveyancing files in line with required procedures and standards.
- Managing and coordinating the administrative functions of a conveyancing practice.
- Liaising effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including financial institutions, municipalities, rates consultants, estate agents, and the deeds office.
- Drafting, formatting, and preparing legal documents and commercial agreements.
- Attending to lodgments and registrations relating to:
- Property transfers
- Bond cancellations
- Bonds
- Managing all financial administration associated with conveyancing transactions.
- Handling FICA administration and ensuring all compliance requirements are completed.
- Matric qualification essential.
- Conveyancing Secretary or Paralegal qualification advantageous.
- Minimum 6 years experience as a Conveyancing Secretary.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly MS Word.
- Experience with bond transactions for major banking institutions advantageous.
- Strong working knowledge of conveyancing software and systems, including:
- Lexis Convey
- E4 (Portal-based systems)
- Webconvey
- Windeed
- Basic knowledge of accounting/practice management systems advantageous.
