JOB DESCRIPTION
An opportunity exists for a suitably mature, qualified and experienced SENIOR BOOKKEEPER whos able to successfully produce all bookkeeping and admin functions for a group of five companies (herein referred to as the "Group") up to Trial Balance/Balance Sheet within a corporate organization.The ideal candidate needs to possess an out-going and strong personality, an outstanding telephone manner and must have an aptitude for accuracy and attention to detail.
The person needs to have the ability to communicate at all levels and to take charge. The person needs to be a quick learner and must be able to work on their own with little supervision. The ideal person needs to be fully qualified and experienced in all Bookkeeping functions, and no compromise in this arena shall be acceptable due to the seniority and high-responsibility that this position commands.This position is suitable to a person of high intellect, possess qualities of supreme honesty and integrity, a perfectionist that seldom makes errors in their work as a Bookkeeper, and
be dedicated to own the responsibility in getting the job done on time and within all operational and reporting deadlines, without failure or compromise what-so-ever.
An approachable person at all levels, whos able to reason rationally, but so too enforce a no-nonsense stance and to work in the best interest of the Group at all times. Reporting effectively and directly to the joint-MDs, the person shall fulfil amongst numerous other
functions, the following:
REQUIREMENTS- Full bookkeeping qualification and experience to Trial Balance/Balance Sheet
- Full function of all SARS, UIF, FEM, etc. statutory accounts and transactions for the Group
- Grade 12 certificate
- Fully computer literate in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
- Manufacturing background
- Xero Accounting qualification and experience
- Sage Payroll/Simple Pay for the Group
- Full function of preparing and affecting Wages, Salaries and Commissions for the Group
- BIBC (Building Industry Bargaining Council) stamp calculations, monthly submission and payment
- Deduction and payment of monthly Trade Union fees for the Group (if applicable)
- HR Functions including generating Employment Contracts for the Group
- Invoicing, Quotations, Credit Notes, Statements, Purchase Orders, Picking Slips, Delivery Notes,
- Stock control on Sage Evolution/Xero for the Group
- Nedbank Business Internet Banking
- Preparation of Import/Export documentation, SARS Customs VAT, etc.
- Cash flow analysis for the Group
- Budgeting for the Group
- Produce accurate Monthly Management Accounts for the Group
- Data-capturing with 100% accuracy, forms writing, updating internal documents
- General Job Costing
- Updating and maintaining asset and equipment registers for the Group
- General filing
- Full Debtors/Creditors function for the Group
- Supplier reconciliations and remittances for the Group
- Cash book for the Group
- Fluent in English and Afrikaans and must be a good communicator
- A responsible person who takes pride in their work, is responsible and is accountable
- The ability to work under pressure and to meet strict operational and reporting deadlines
- A problem solver and whos able to use their own initiative
- Full liaison and reporting to the company Accountants and Auditors
- A team player who is driven by success
- No criminal record
