Management Accountant (Manufacturing / Job Costing)

A hands-on opportunity for a Management Accountant / Costing Specialist to build and implement costing and reporting systems within a small engineering/manufacturing environment.

Contract Details:

• 3-month full-time contract
• Transition into permanent part-time role (20 hours per week, office-based)
• Start: ASAP
• Salary: R15,000 – R20,000 (initial) | R10,000 – R15,000 (permanent)

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement job costing systems and procedures
• Build and manage budgets, forecasts, and reporting structures
• Establish labour and machine (CNC) billing rates
• Drive adoption and governance of job costing systems (JobSys or similar), Pastel / Sage Evolution V19
• Produce monthly management accounts and performance reports
• Support pricing, margin analysis, and cost control
• Ensure data accuracy, reporting automation, and operational insights

Requirements:

• Qualification in Cost/Management Accounting or Industrial Engineering
• 5–10 years’ experience in manufacturing or engineering environments
• Strong experience in job costing, budgeting, and reporting
• Advanced Excel skills (automation experience advantageous)
• Experience with job costing systems (e.g., JobSys) preferred
