Maintenance technician

Duties and responsibilities :

• Receive tasks/duties and complete as given by Maintenance Supervisor
• Obtain the correct process instructions for the job to be performed
• Ensure set-ups and changes are carried out with minimum interruption of production and maximum attention to minimizing set-up/line-change times
• Maintain high standard of housekeeping & safe working practices at all times.
• To ensure that all activities within my area of responsibilities are performed in compliance with the Company Policies and Procedures, and legislation with specific emphasis on Health, Safety, and Environmental aspects.
• Undertake the safe & efficient installation of all new mechanical and electrical equipment, plant & machinery as directed.
• Prompt and efficient attendance to all breakdowns & stoppages due to electrical /mechanical failure or fault.
• Conduct inspections & preventative maintenance of all electrical/mechanical equipment, plant and machinery as directed
• Performance of shift, overtime (subject to legislated constraints) & stand - by duties in accordance with departmental rosters or as directed by Management.
• Undertake any other task, projects or duties as allocated by Management from time to time.
• Self-driven individual that can work under pressure will be advantageous.

Experience:

• Minimum Qualification: Electrical/ Millwright/ Mechatronics.
• Millwright Trade Test with 5 years relevant experience.
• Relevant experience Hydraulic and Pneumatic function and control
• Working Knowledge PLC and HMI. Coding will be advantageous.
