Utilities Foreman (Instrumentation Focus)

Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all maintenance and operational activities related to plant utilities.
- Lead instrumentation maintenance, calibration, and fault-finding on control systems and field devices.
- Ensure optimal performance of boilers, compressors, pumps, HVAC systems, and water treatment plants.
- Manage PLCs, SCADA systems, and process control loops to ensure accurate monitoring and control.
- Drive preventative and predictive maintenance strategies to minimise downtime.
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, environmental, and quality standards.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of artisans and technicians.
- Manage contractors and service providers for specialised utility and instrumentation work.
- Analyse plant performance data and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and maintenance records.
- National Diploma or N6 in Instrumentation, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- Trade Test: Instrumentation Technician or Electrician (with strong instrumentation experience).
- Minimum 58 years experience in utilities maintenance within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Proven experience with PLCs, SCADA systems, and process control instrumentation.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills in instrumentation and utilities systems.
- Previous supervisory or foreman-level experience is essential.
- Strong leadership and team management ability.
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Good understanding of process control and industrial automation.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication and administrative skills.
