We are looking for a skilled Control & Instrumentation Mechanician who thrives in a fast-paced production environment and takes pride in keeping critical plant systems running safely and efficiently.

What Youll Be Doing (Your Day-to-Day)
You will be responsible for maintaining the "brains" of the plant ensuring all instrumentation and control systems are accurate, reliable, and fully operational.
Your work will include:
Installing, calibrating, and maintaining instruments (temperature, pressure, level, flow)
Diagnosing and repairing faults on PLCs, sensors, valves, and control systems
Performing preventative maintenance to avoid costly breakdowns
Using test equipment (multimeters, loop calibrators, oscilloscopes) to troubleshoot issues
Inspecting plant equipment and responding to alarms and failures
Supporting plant operations during breakdowns and shutdowns
Interpreting technical drawings and specifications
Ensuring all work complies with safety, environmental, and industry standards
Communicating effectively with operators, engineers, and maintenance teams
What Were Looking For
Were looking for someone who is:
- A qualified C&I Mechanician (Red Seal preferred)
- Holding a Diploma or equivalent in Control & Instrumentation
- With 35 years post-apprenticeship experience in a heavy industrial or power/processing plant
- Strong in fault-finding and problem-solving
- Comfortable working with PLCs and automated systems
- Hands-on, reliable, and able to work under pressure
- Willing to work shifts, overtime, and breakdown call-outs
- Safety-focused with a solid understanding of plant regulations
- You dont just fix problems you find the root cause
- Youre confident working both in the field and on control systems
- You take ownership and can lead when required
- You communicate clearly and work well within a team
