Minimum Requirements:

  • BCOM Accounting/ BCOM management accounting
  • 5 Years working experience in a FMCG environment and management experience
  • Financial systems (Advanced Syspro) a must
  • Financial and management accounting technical experience
  • Experience in Financial reporting and Corporate Governance
  • Excellent excel skills
  • Able to work after hours, weekends, extended hours and potentially holidays.
  • Must have own vehicle and have a valid drivers license.
Key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

Management accounting:

  • Month end stock take process on site and outlying depots
  • Stock accuracy of all storage locations
  • Month end margin analysis and stock valuation
  • BOM costing analysis
  • Traceability audits
  • Responsible for Work in Progress (WIP)
  • Investigate variances between standard jobs and job valuations
  • Weekly purchase price variance (PPV) reviews since standard costing methodologies are used
  • Buyer interaction on pricing and PPVs
  • Oversee the Chep pallet account
  • Various process profit and loss calculations
  • Review monthly margin analysis
  • Review upload of sales and raw material price uploads to maintain standard costing.
  • Ensure daily stock balancing of 3rd party stock of ERP system
  • Coordinate monthly stock taking
  • Oversee the BOM administration process
  • Overhead contribution calculations
  • Product costings to assist with yearly sales price increases
  • Implementation and review of internal controls
  • Ensure audit file is updated and presentable for external audits
  • Set clear KPIs for team
  • Keep team members accountable for initiatives and agreed KPI

Cost accounting:

  • Accurate product costings
  • Accurate scenario planning / cost reviews
  • BOM audits
  • Upload of recipe changes
  • BOM record keeping
  • Production overhead calculate
  • Create accurate costings for Sales
  • Update BOMS with change in recipes
  • Structures reviews and BOM audits
  • Process reviews, updates on standard operating practices and manuals.
  • Implementing and maintaining recipe change processes
  • BOM variance analysis
  • Margin analysis
  • Own monthly stock take process
  • Investigating impact of BOMS on stock take variances
  • Analysing of production cost and recommending changes
  • Analysing inventory valuations
