Business Development Executive

Resposnisbilties:

• Hunt for new business across the Johannesburg market and identify untapped revenue opportunities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and prospective clients.
• Drive the full sales cycle from prospecting and pitching through to negotiation and closing.
• Develop and execute business development strategies to grow revenue and market share.
• Identify client needs and position courier / express delivery solutions that genuinely solve them.
• Generate and manage a healthy sales pipeline, with consistent activity and follow-through.
• Conduct client visits, presentations and commercial negotiations.
• Convert leads into profitable, long-term accounts.
• Monitor market activity, competitors and industry trends to identify new opportunities.
• Work closely with operations and internal teams to ensure a smooth client handover and service delivery.
• Maintain accurate sales activity, forecasts and pipeline reporting.

Requirements:

• 3+ years Business Development / Sales experience within the Courier, Express, Logistics or related industry.
• A proven track record of new business acquisition and revenue growth.
• Strong existing business network / client contacts will be advantageous.
• Experience selling B2B courier, express, distribution or logistics solutions.
• Confident prospecting, cold calling and opening new accounts.
• Strong negotiation, presentation and closing skills.
• Commercially minded with the ability to identify profitable opportunities, not just generate leads.
• Self-motivated, target-driven and comfortable working independently.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Valid drivers licence and own reliable vehicle.
