The Role: Trade Marketing Project Manager (South Africa)
This is a senior, hands-on role that owns the full project lifecycle and ensures consistent in-store execution across all retail channels. The purpose of the role is to drive projects through to completion while maintaining project governance and a clear single source of truth for the business.
Key Responsibilities- Provide 5+ years of experience in project management, retail rollout, or FMCG.
- Own the full project lifecycle including planning, production, logistics, installation, and handover.
- Manage timelines, budgets, risks, and delivery across multiple projects.
- Coordinate between brand owners, retail partners, and internal teams.
- Oversee installations, contractors, and site readiness.
- Manage change control regarding scope, cost, and approvals.
- Maintain master plans, weekly RAG reports, action logs, RAID logs, and decision logs.
- Support shop-in-shop rollouts and pilot installs where needed.
- 5+ years of experience in project management, retail rollout, or FMCG.
- Proven experience delivering multi-site retail projects.
- Solid understanding of retail installations and execution.
- Good commercial understanding of budgets, tracking, and cost control.
- Able to travel 30-40% across office, retail sites, and supplier or warehouse locations.
- Independent, reliable, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
