Structural Draughtsman / Designer

Our client, a leading EPCM consulting engineering sector is looking for an experienced Structural Draughtsman / Designer to join a high-performing project delivery team. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality structural drawings and designs across mining, minerals processing, and infrastructure projects within a multidisciplinary EPCM environment.

We're looking for a technically strong draughtsman with extensive structural design experience, strong software skills, and the ability to work in fast-paced project environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Structural Design & Draughting
Produce detailed structural drawings and 3D models for mining and infrastructure projects.
Develop General Arrangement Drawings (GAs)
Structural steel drawings
Concrete drawings
Reinforcement detailing
Fabrication and construction drawings

Ensure all designs comply with project specifications, codes, standards, and client requirements.

Project Coordination

Work closely with: Structural Engineers

Designers
Multidisciplinary project teams
Coordinate drawing deliverables in line with project schedules and milestones.

Support design reviews and implement drawing revisions where required.

Quality & Compliance
Ensure accuracy, quality, and consistency of all drawing outputs.
Maintain document control and revision management in accordance with project procedures.

Participate in model reviews and clash detection processes where applicable.

Site & Technical Support
Provide technical draughting support during construction and execution phases.

Assist with resolving site queries and updating as-built drawings where required.

Requirements:

Minimum 10 years experience as a Structural Draughtsman / Designer.
Proven experience within:
EPCM / Consulting Engineering environments
Mining, minerals processing, or heavy industrial projects
Strong experience in structural steel and concrete design detailing.
Proficiency in the following software is highly advantageous:
AutoCAD
MicroStation
Civil 3D
Revit
Tekla Structures
Navisworks
SmartPlant 3D (SP3D) advantageous
