Junior Sampleset Line Supervisor - Durban - ref. p86489015

Production Oversight:

• Supervise the sample set production line, ensuring adherence to the production schedule and meeting daily output targets.

Team Management:

• Lead, train, and motivate a team of machinists and pattern makers, providing guidance and support to optimize performance.

Quality Control:

• Monitor product quality throughout the production process, addressing any issues to maintain high standards.

Troubleshooting:

• Identify and resolve production problems, collaborating with technical support and management as needed.

Coordination:

• Work with other departments, like Merchandising / Patternmakers and QA team, to ensure a seamless flow of materials and information.

Performance Management:

• Evaluate employee performance, provide feedback, and implement performance improvement plans.

Safety and Efficiency:

• Ensure a safe and efficient working environment by enforcing safety protocols and promoting best practices.

Record Keeping:

• Maintain accurate production records, including output metrics and employee performance data. KPI spreadsheet.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in the sewing/textile environment, with strong garment construction knowledge.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in sewing and garment construction, with the ability to assist machinists.
• Organizational Skills: Excellent planning, prioritization, and time management skills.
• Communication Skills: Effective communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with team members, management, and other departments.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve production-related issues in a timely manner.
• Adaptability: Flexibility to work on Saturdays from 07:30am - 13:00pm is often required
• Computer skills: Must know how to operate Excel (not formulas) just capturing on excel.
