Minimum Requirements
Important: Only candidates with valid SACPCMP registration who are willing to work in Skaapvlei should apply.
- Valid SACPCMP registration as a Construction Health and Safety Officer (CHSO) NON-NEGOTIABLE.
- Relevant Health and Safety qualification.
- Previous experience as a Safety Officer on construction or project sites.
- Sound knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Construction Regulations.
- Experience conducting risk assessments, safety inspections and incident investigations.
- Strong communication, reporting and administrative skills.
- Must be willing and able to work on-site in Skaapvlei.
- Ability to work independently and enforce safety compliance.
- Conduct daily site safety inspections and identify potential hazards.
- Ensure compliance with applicable health and safety legislation.
- Maintain safety files, registers and compliance documentation.
- Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions and risk assessments.
- Investigate workplace incidents and recommend corrective action.
- Monitor contractors and employees to ensure compliance with site safety procedures.
- Prepare safety reports and liaise with site management.
