Invoice Clerk

Job Summary

We are seeking a meticulous and organized Invoicing Clerk to join our team in Edenvale. The ideal candidate will have proven experience using Sage Evolution software and a strong understanding of accounting principles. This role is crucial for ensuring the timely and accurate processing of customer invoices, maintaining financial records, and assisting with other accounting tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and issue customer invoices accurately and on time using Sage Evolution.
• Verify invoice details against purchase orders, sales orders, and other supporting documentation.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date customer and invoice records within Sage Evolution.
• Follow up on outstanding invoices and resolve discrepancies.
• Liaise with customers and internal departments to address billing inquiries.
• Assist with month-end closing procedures and preparation of financial reports.
• Contribute to the overall efficiency and accuracy of the accounting department.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as an Invoicing Clerk or in a similar accounting role.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Sage Evolution software is essential.
• Sound knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as within a team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word).
