Wet Services Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop wet services systems including:
• Water reticulation
• Sewer reticulation
• Stormwater management
• Internal plumbing systems
• Hot and cold water services
• Above- and below-ground drainage systems
• Rainwater harvesting systems
• Perform hydraulic calculations and engineering analysis.
• Prepare detailed engineering reports, specifications, tender documentation and technical schedules.
• Produce and review engineering drawings using AutoCAD and Revit (preferred).
• Coordinate designs with mechanical, electrical, structural and civil engineering teams.
• Conduct site inspections, attend technical meetings and oversee construction quality.
• Ensure designs comply with SANS standards, municipal requirements and relevant South African building regulations.
• Liaise with local authorities, contractors, clients and project stakeholders.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and draughtsmen.
• Support project delivery from concept through commissioning and project close-out.

Minimum Requirements:

• BEng/BSc/BTech in Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in wet services engineering within a consulting engineering environment.
• Proven experience in plumbing, drainage, water reticulation, sewer infrastructure and stormwater design.
• Strong understanding of SANS 10252, SANS 10254, National Building Regulations and municipal engineering standards.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
• Revit MEP experience will be advantageous.
• Valid South African driver's licence.
• Willingness to travel to project sites when required.
