Key Responsibilities
- Managing and supervising manufacturing, assembly, fitment, servicing and load-testing operations.
- Planning, coordinating and monitoring production schedules and workflow.
- Ensuring product quality standards are maintained and approving final quality inspections.
- Leading, coaching, mentoring and developing production personnel.
- Managing departmental performance, productivity and resource utilisation.
- Coordinating effectively with Engineering, Marketing, Workshop, Human Resources and Management.
- Monitoring inventory control systems and production processes.
- Ensuring compliance with Occupational Health and Safety requirements and Company policies.
- Managing timesheets, overtime and performance-related matters.
- Investigating and resolving operational challenges and workplace conflicts.
- Reporting on production progress, risks, delays, budgets and operational requirements.
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives and departmental growth.
- Managing and delivering ad hoc projects and strategic operational objectives.
- Supporting succession planning, trainee development and skills transfer initiatives.
