Project Sales Engineer

A leading international organisation in the engineering and fluid technology sector is seeking a driven and experienced Project Sales Engineer to join their team in Johannesburg. This role focuses on developing technical sales strategies, growing key customer accounts, and providing engineering support across projects.

• Matric (Compulsory)
• BEng / BSc / BTech in Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering (Preferred)
• 5–10 years’ experience in engineering and/or customer service (Preferred)
• Experience with fluid power systems and/or mining equipment (Preferred)
• Valid driver’s licence
• Fluent in English and Afrikaans (spoken and written)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office

• Develop and implement business strategies in collaboration with management
• Maintain relationships and expand the existing customer base
• Onboard and grow new customers in partnership with the National Project Sales Manager
• Provide technical advice and support to customers and internal sales teams
• Assist with system layout and design for customised solutions
• Manage customer accounts and maintain service excellence
• Prepare project quotations and conduct timely follow-ups
• Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales targets
• Conduct regular on-site customer visits
• Contribute to sales forecasting and attend product or technical training as required
