WatersEdge Solutions is partnering with a client to recruit a driven Business Development Representative to generate demand, qualify leads, and create revenue opportunities across a defined market. This role is ideal for someone with strong outbound sales experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build trusted relationships with prospective partners.
About the Role
As Business Development Representative, you’ll focus on creating demand for platform solutions through outbound calls, email, social media, events, and targeted prospecting. You’ll identify and qualify potential partners, maintain accurate CRM records, and hand over strong opportunities to the Account Executive team.
Key Responsibilities- Generate demand through outbound prospecting, events, marketing activity, and targeted lists
- Make outbound calls to prospective accountants, bookkeepers, and enterprise subsidiaries
- Use phone, email, and social media to engage prospects
- Qualify leads and route opportunities to the right sales representative
- Research potential partners and identify key decision-makers
- Maintain accurate CRM records of prospecting activity
- Collaborate with sales teams to improve lead generation strategy
- Arrange and host events for prospective partners across South Africa
- Proven outbound sales experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong work ethic and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to quickly learn new technology and software
- Detail-oriented approach with strong organisational skills

- Previous SaaS experience
- Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM systems
- Experience generating leads across multiple channels
- Strong analytical skills to assess channel performance and optimise lead generation
