Our client in the insurance industry is seeking a highly experienced Compliance Manager in Bloemfontein to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the company’s operations, policies, and procedures comply with all relevant regulatory and legislative requirements, while supporting the business in maintaining the highest standards of governance and risk management.

Skills required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Risk Management, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3+ years’ compliance experience in the insurance sector or a similar regulated industry
  • Strong knowledge of risk management, principles, and regulatory requirements relevant to insurance
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Fluency in English and at least one local language (e.g. Afrikaans, isiZulu, etc.)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Own reliable vehicle

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures
  • Conduct risk assessments and audits to identify compliance gaps
  • Provide compliance guidance and training to staff
  • Monitor and report on compliance issues to management and regulators
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance
  • Stay up to date with regulatory developments and industry best practices
