The Domino Administrator is responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and support of HCL Domino servers, Notes clients, and associated applications. The role ensures system availability, performance, security, and integration with enterprise infrastructure.

Qualifications required:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (preferred).
  • 35+ years of Domino administration experience.
  • HCL/IBM Domino certifications (HCL Domino Administrator, IBM Certified System Administrator) an advantage.

Required Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of HCL Domino/Notes administration (v9 v12+).
  • Experience with Domino Directory, replication, clustering, ID Vault, policies.
  • Understanding of mail routing (SMTP, POP3, IMAP) and internet protocols.
  • Skills in Windows/Linux server administration.
  • Knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, load balancing).
  • Familiarity with Domino security, certificates, TLS/SSL.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills.
Desirable / Nice-to-Have
  • Experience with Domino Volt, Nomad, Verse, Sametime.
  • Scripting skills (LotusScript, PowerShell, Bash, JavaScript).
  • Experience with Domino to Exchange/O365 migration.
  • Familiarity with virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V) and cloud platforms.
  • ITIL practices (Incident, Change, Problem Management).
