A leading financial services provider is seeking a dynamic Digital Technical Specialist to join their Technical Advice Team in Tygervalley, Cape Town. This role supports the digital transformation of the wealth advice function by driving the adoption and development of a digital financial planning tool.

It is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in financial planning and a passion for innovation, training, and adviser enablement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver training to financial advisers on the use of the digital wealth advice tool through virtual platforms (e.g., MS Teams) and in-person sessions.
  • Participate in adviser office visits to encourage tool adoption and provide hands-on support.
  • Collaborate with teams to improve and refine the digital advice process and tools.
  • Drive the development, testing, and rollout of new tool enhancements.
  • Translate complex financial planning concepts into engaging presentations and easy-to-use materials.
  • Provide technical system support to advisers, support staff, and regional teams.
  • Interpret financial needs analyses and digital cash flow projections to assist with client planning.
  • Develop written and video-based training content and tool guides.
  • Test digital enhancements for functionality and user experience.
  • Support the standardisation of advice processes and documentation.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to define digital tool requirements based on real-world adviser and business needs.
  • Compile regular communications, reports, and presentations for stakeholders on tool performance and advice processes.

Requirements:

  • A qualification in Financial Planning, Wealth Management, or Finance (completed or near completion, CFP preferred).
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in the financial planning, wealth advice, or finance industry.
  • Strong command of English, both written and spoken.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint and Word.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally within South Africa.
  • Experience working directly with financial advisers or clients is a plus.
