Marketing assistant
The Marketing Assistant will support the Marketing Manager in executing and coordinating various marketing activities, including digital marketing, product management, promotional campaigns, and event planning. This role requires attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
KEY DUTIES:
DIGITAL MARKETING & ONLINE PRESENCE Manage and update the company website, ensuring product information, images, and promotional content are accurate.
Update and maintain stock lists, promotions, and e-commerce platforms (Makro, Takealot, etc.).
Respond to customer reviews on TrustPilot and Takealot, identifying areas for improvement.
Create and upload content for social media, including posts, images, and videos.
Monitor and respond to messages and comments on social media platforms.
Create YouTube video descriptions, thumbnails, and manage video uploads.
Keep Google Analytics and Instagram bio links updated.
Work with designers for social media artwork and marketing materials.
PRODUCT & INVENTORY MANAGEMENT Maintain product listings, categories, and brand updates on company e-commerce platforms.
Load and update product descriptions, attributes, images, and datasheets.
Coordinating with suppliers.
Assist in loading new items.
PROMOTIONS & CAMPAIGNS Plan and execute promotional campaigns, including pricing updates and stock availability checks.
Monitor the success of marketing promotions and provide reports on performance.
Manage customer leads and ensure they are forwarded to the appropriate sales reps. Coordinate email marketing campaigns, including MailBlaze content creation.
EVENT PLANNING & TRADE SHOWS Organize marketing events, trade shows, and training days, including logistics, catering, and promotional materials.
Communicate with event organizers and ensure all required documentation is in place.
Arrange product sponsorships, marketing materials, and event setup.
Manage invitations, bookings, and follow-up communications for events.
Oversee marketing stock and ensure banners, gazebos, and promotional materials are in good condition.
BRANDING & MARKETING MATERIALS Create and distribute marketing materials such as brochures, vouchers, and promotional banners.
Arrange printing, laminating, and binding of booklets, pamphlets, and other marketing documents.
Ensure all new branding, stickers, and signage are updated and distributed to relevant locations.
Manage the ordering and stock of marketing collateral.
CUSTOMER & PARTNER ENGAGEMENT Maintain relationships with distributors, partners, and customers.
Ensure that all new clients are properly onboarded with relevant marketing support.
Assist with training center bookings and customer inquiries.
Keep track of and report on customer success stories and testimonials.
REPORTING & ADMINISTRATION Update marketing budget forecasts and manage expense approvals.
Track and document marketing stock and FOC items from suppliers.
Ensure compliance with internal marketing procedures and documentation.
Send confirmation emails for all communications and keep records organized.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS- Grade 12 / Matric / Equivalent "N" qualification
- Valid Drivers License & own vehicle

- Computer literate (MS Office Suite only basic knowledge required)
- Well spoken, fluent in both English as well as Afrikaans (Speak, read & write)

REMUNERATION:
- Will be based on candidates employment / earnings history and is negotiable to a certain extent.
