Company and Job Description:
As the Financial Accountant, you will play a key role in managing and maintaining the financial health of the business. Youll be involved in the full financial accounting function, working closely with stakeholders across the organization and within the public sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing and reviewing monthly management accounts and financial statements
- Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
- Managing budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis
- Supporting audits and liaising with external auditors
- Overseeing reconciliations, journals, and general ledger accuracy
- Assisting with financial reporting for public sectorrelated projects
- A completed BCom degree or equivalent in Accounting or Finance
- Completed SAIPA or SAICA articles
- Exposure to the public sector (highly advantageous)
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, controls, and compliance
- Excellent analytical, communication, and time-management skills
- Willingness and flexibility to travel between the Western Cape and Free State
