The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations, ensuring efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods, managing stock control, and leading a team of warehouse staff to meet operational targets safely and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Warehouse Operations:
  • Plan, organize, and supervise all warehouse activities including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch.
  • Ensure efficient workflow and adherence to operational procedures.
  1. Inventory Management:
  • Monitor stock levels and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Implement stock rotation practices (FIFO/LIFO).
  1. Team Leadership:
  • Recruit, train, and manage warehouse staff.
  • Develop staff performance plans and conduct performance reviews.
  • Ensure team compliance with health, safety, and security procedures.
  1. Health & Safety Compliance:
  • Maintain a safe working environment and ensure adherence to occupational health and safety regulations.
  • Conduct safety audits and report incidents.
  1. Logistics & Coordination:
  • Coordinate with suppliers, transport companies, and internal departments for smooth operations.
  • Ensure timely delivery of goods and optimize delivery schedules.
  1. Reporting & Administration:
  • Prepare and submit warehouse reports, KPIs, and performance metrics.
  • Manage budgets, costs, and resources effectively.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and planning abilities.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and MS Office.
  • Understanding of inventory management and logistics processes.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum: National Diploma / Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Experience: 35 years in warehouse operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory/management role.
  • Experience with ERP or WMS systems is preferred.
  • Forklift license advantageous.
