Yellow Equipment - Diesel Technician (Field & Workshop Service)

An opportunity for an experienced YELLOW EQUIPMENT - DIESEL TECHNICIAN (FIELD & WORKSHOP SERVICE) is required for permanent employment based in Newcastle.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Diagnose, repair and maintain earthmoving and construction equipment
• Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and servicing
• Perform field service breakdowns and emergency repairs
• Diagnose hydraulic, electrical and mechanical faults
• Interpret technical manuals and OEM specifications
• Complete job cards and service documentation accurately
• Conduct machine inspections and fault reporting
• Commission and test repaired equipment
• Support workshop and customer site operations
• Maintain high safety and workmanship standards

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

• Grade 12 (Matric)
• Trade Tested Diesel Mechanic / Earthmoving Technician
• Min 35 years'' yellow plant/equipment experience preferred
• Experience on excavators, dozers, loaders, graders, articulated dump trucks or similar equipment advantageous
• Strong hydraulic diagnostics knowledge
• Electrical and electronic fault-finding skills
• Computer literate
• Valid driver''s licence
• Ability to travel for field service work
• Traceable & contactable references
• Local residency or relocation required
