Junior Mechanical Project Engineer
Location: Johannesburg West
This role is ideal for a hands-on Engineer who wants exposure to the full project lifecycle, from design and engineering support through to the manufacturing, installation and commissioning of equipment used in large-scale mineral processing operations.
Key Responsibilities Will Include:
- Supporting senior project and design engineers on mechanical projects related to heavy vibrating and processing equipment
- Assisting with mechanical design reviews, drawings, calculations and technical documentation
- Coordinating with production, fabrication and site teams to ensure that project deliverables are met
- Supporting procurement, quality control and project scheduling activities
- Assisting with site inspections, commissioning and troubleshooting of equipment
- Contributing to continuous improvement, reliability and cost-effective engineering solutions
Minimum Requirements:
- BEng or BTech degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 03 years experience in a mechanical engineering or project engineering role
- Exposure to mining, mineral processing, heavy equipment or similar industrial environments will be highly advantageous
- Strong technical aptitude with a willingness to learn and grow within a project-driven environment
