An industry-leading player in the life insurance and financial services space is searching for a dynamic Data Scientist to help shape decision-making across portfolios through smart analytics, predictive models, and scalable reporting tools.
What Youll Be Doing:
- Build and maintain automated dashboards and real-time reports using Power BI
- Design and deploy end-to-end analytics pipelines in Python and SQL
- Develop predictive models to support business strategies (think churn, retention, pricing, and profitability)
- Translate business needs into clear data solutions from raw data to boardroom insight
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine data flow, test outputs, and solve data challenges
- Validate data accuracy and ensure version control and audit traceability
- Drive root cause analysis and make recommendations backed by data
- Engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders and make complex findings simple
What You Bring:
- Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, Actuarial Science or Engineering
- 35 years' experience in data science, analytics, or engineering (preferably in financial services or insurance)
- Strong coding ability in Python and SQL (non-negotiable)
- Proficiency in Power BI, with solid data modeling and DAX skills
- Bonus points for: Git version control, experience in testing/UAT, and understanding of insurance data
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal with a proactive and consultative approach
- Critical thinker, self-starter, and problem-solver with sharp attention to detail
