Financial Accountant

As the Financial Accountant, youll be responsible for ensuring financial integrity across distribution centres, managing month-end cycles, and providing insights that drive business performance. Youll work alongside a high-performing team committed to continuous improvement, cost control, and innovation in every process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review monthly management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance reports.
• Support the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Collaborate with logistics and operations teams to monitor costs and enhance efficiency.
• Manage fixed asset registers, accruals, and intercompany transactions.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling for strategic decision-making.
• Drive process improvements and participate in system optimisation initiatives.

Job Experience & Skills Required:

• BCom Accounting
• 35 years post-article experience within retail, logistics, or FMCG distribution.
• Solid technical foundation in accounting principles and reporting standards (IFRS).
• Experience with large ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
• Strong analytical mindset, problem-solving skills, and a passion for process excellence.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
