Knowledge in materials science or materials engineering within a technical manufacturing and product development environment.

Duties

Designing and carrying out product characterisation experiments for existing products
Researching and developing value added products
Researching and developing alternative products
Oversight of QC testing
Technical support to sales on enquiries for specialised applications
Oversight and management of in-house technical literature (Product Datasheets / Material Safety Sheets)
Management of product compliance with various standards (for water treatment, food processing, etc)
