About the Role

We are a growing HR consultancy firm based in Paarl, providing hands-on HR and payroll support to a diverse client base. We require a detail-oriented and people-focused HR Generalist / Payroll Clerk to support our consultants with day-to-day HR tasks and payroll functions.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, works well in a fast-paced environment, and is looking to grow their career in human resource management.

Key Responsibilities

Payroll Support
  • Assisting with monthly payroll processing for multiple clients
  • Capturing and verifying payroll data
  • Supporting statutory submissions (PAYE, UIF, SDL)
  • Assisting with payroll reports and reconciliations
Human Resources Support
  • Screen CVs, coordinate interviews, and assist with recruitment administration and onboarding
  • Draft basic HR documents, including employment letters, policies, and correspondence
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR files
  • Capture and manage HR compliance information (e.g., Employment Equity and Skills Development reporting)
  • Support HR projects and compliance processes
Minimum Requirements
  • Post matric qualification in Human Resources, Payroll, or related field
  • 1–3 years’ experience in an HR and/or payroll environment
  • Basic understanding of South African labour legislation advantageous
  • Payroll system exposure (Sage advantageous)
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills
  • High attention to detail and confidentiality
  • Proficient in MS Excel and MS Word
  • Strong communication skills (Afrikaans and English)
