Scale Operator

We are looking for a motivated

• Receiving of waste
• Checking and storage of waste (Anatomical, Pharmaceutical etc.)
• Waste Manifest Administration
• Ensure the cold rooms are cleaned and disinfected
• Sending of anatomical, cytotoxic, and pharmaceutical waste to third party for disposal
• SHE Awareness
• Operate and maintain weighing scales to accurately measure medical waste quantities
• Ensure all weights are recorded correctly and in compliance with company policies and state regulations.
• Inspect incoming and outgoing waste containers to confirm proper labeling and compliance with safety standards.
• Maintain accurate records and logs of all transactions related to medical waste handling.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient processing of medical waste shipments.
• Comply with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Assist with audits and inspections as necessary.
• Participate in training and development to stay informed about the latest industry practices and regulatory changes.
• Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in waste management or environmental science is a plus.
• Previous experience in a scale operator role or similar position preferred.
• Familiarity with medical waste management and regulatory standards is highly desirable.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic computer skills for record-keeping and data entry.
