TIG Welder

Minimum requirements:

• Technical certification or diploma from a recognised technical college.
• Minimum of 1-year relevant welding experience.
• Competence in using measuring devices (e.g. tape measures).
• Read and interpret manufacturing drawings and layouts to accurately fit and weldstructural components.
• Plan work procedures by reviewing job instructions and specifications and prepare required tools and materials.
• Fabricate and repair a variety of components and equipment using appropriate cutting and welding techniques.
• Monitor welding and fitting processes to prevent overheating, warping, distortion, expansion, or shrinkage.
• Prepare, assemble, align, and tack-weld parts prior to final welding.
• Weld components for the fabrication of mild steel and aluminium products.
• Perform first-off inspections and ongoing quality checks in line with company standards and procedures.
• Set up and adjust welding equipment according to prescribed specifications.
• Operate power tools and welding equipment safely and efficiently.
• Use all required personal protective equipment (PPE) and always comply with safety regulations.
• Change gas cylinders when required.
• Carry out basic maintenance and minor repairs on equipment as needed.
• Report faulty equipment, safety hazards, or defective materials to the supervisor immediately.
• Perform any additional tasks as assigned by management.
