IT Systems Administrator

Key Responsibilities
- Administer, monitor, and maintain Windows Server environments, Microsoft 365, and Active Directory.
- Manage and support virtualization platforms, storage solutions, and network services.
- Perform routine system backups, updates, and patch management to maintain security and reliability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve escalated infrastructure and network issues.
- Assist with planning and deployment of new technologies and infrastructure projects.
- Maintain system documentation, asset records, and change control logs.
- Collaborate with site IT teams to ensure consistent system performance and adherence to standards.
- Ensure compliance with cybersecurity policies and assist with periodic audits.
- Provide technical support to other IT staff and act as an escalation point for complex issues.
- National Diploma or Degree in Information Technology (or equivalent qualification).
- 5+ years experience in systems administration or infrastructure support.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Windows Server (2016/2019/2022)
- Microsoft 365 / Exchange / Azure AD
- VMware or Hyper-V
- Networking (DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, and switching)
- Backup and disaster recovery solutions
- Experience with endpoint management tools such as SCCM or Ivanti.
- Solid understanding of ITIL principles and change management processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- High attention to detail and commitment to service quality.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Proactive, reliable, and self-driven with a professional work ethic.
