Minimum Qualification
- Matric or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 10 years experience in industrial, power plant or heavy engineering environment
- Ability to read and follow technical drawings
- Experience with cable installation and support systems
- Instrument mounting and tubing installation
- Cable glanding and termination support
- General industrial electrical and instrumentation practices
- Safe use of hand tools and power tools
- Understanding of site safety procedures
- Install cable trays, conduits and supports
- Assist with instrument installation and mounting
- Pull, route and dress cables according to drawings
- Perform cable glanding and termination support work
- Assist supervisors during loop checks and testing
- Maintain tools, work areas and housekeeping standards
- Comply with all site safety and permit requirements
- Support mechanical and electrical teams during installation activities
- Report defects, hazards and incomplete work to supervisors
- Ensure work is performed according to specifications and quality standards
