Mechanical Design Engineer

In this role, you will design equipment for the water and wastewater treatment and materials handling industries within a manufacturing environment.
Experience.- Min 5year experience using SolidWorks "Sheetmetal" a must
- Drivers license - code 08
- Mechanical national diploma/N6/NQF6 (will be a plus)
Job description:
- Design mechanical equipment and parts.
- Take designs from hand sketches to 3D models / Assemblies to manufacturing.
- Communicate with clients, contractors, supplier etc.
- Measure site equipment and design replacement parts.
- Model 3D parts, assemblies, fabrication drawings, BOMs.
- Send RFQs for the parts/components.
- Review quotes for set parts.
- Quality control parts/components compile data book and QCPs.
- Assist in the fabrication of set designed parts, equipment.
- Assist in the assembly of set designed parts, equipment.
- Travel to site and measure civil works and equipment.
- Read / Write specifications
