Our client is components manufacturer and shopfitting specialist

• Ensure the accurate and optimal level of inventory stock for production.
• Ensure storage and handling of materials to meet quality and safety standards.
• Monitor supply chain transactions and inventory replenishment to avoid stockouts.
• Manage the receipt and inspection of raw materials upon arrival at the facility.
• Create and maintain accurate documentation of inventory levels and transactions to ensure transparency and accountability.
• Coordinate with production teams to ensure the timely delivery of materials to the production floor.
• Perform routine inspections of materials to ensure that quality standards are met.
• Coordinate with manufacturing, warehouse, and procurement teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Identify and report any inventory problems or discrepancies, and recommend solutions.
• Utilizing the forklift when the assistant storeman is otherwise engaged.
• Ensure the housekeeping of the store and yard.
• Preparation and facilitation of monthly stock takes.

• A high school diploma or equivalent, or an NQF Level 4 qualification, is essential.
• A qualification in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or Inventory Control is advantageous.

• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Strong knowledge of inventory control methods and procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and drawings.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, particularly Excel and Word.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong knowledge of ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems such as SAP B1 (preferred).
• Strong knowledge and understanding of sheet metals, including hot-rolled sheets, cold-rolled sheets, and stainless steel. In addition to tubing, consumables (including abrasives, PPE, hardware, and small tools), and wire.
