Our client, a respected player in the telecommunications industry, is on the lookout for a sharp, detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join their dynamic finance team, based in the southern suburbs of Cape Town.
As the Senior Accountant, you'll be responsible for leading the day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring compliance, preparing high-level reports, and playing a key role in budgeting and audits. Youll collaborate closely with department heads and report to the Financial Manager.
Duties:
- Oversee full accounting function, from general ledger to trial balance.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of financial data.
- Manage reconciliations, journal entries, and accruals.
- Coordinate with auditors during annual audits and prepare supporting documentation.
Qualifications:
- Completed BCom degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- SAIPA or SAICA articles
Experience:
- 5+ years' experience in a full-function accounting role
- Proficiency in CaseWare is a plus
