Pre-Owned Truck Sales Executive - Middelburg

Duties include
  • Sell the maximum number of quality pre-owned / used trucks by understanding customer operational requirements and matching the correct truck solutions to their business needs.
  • Develop and maintain strong fleet and commercial customer relationships while actively sourcing new business opportunities within the trucking and transport sector.
  • Achieve maximum first and second gross profit while ensuring customer satisfaction in line with company sales standards to encourage repeat and referral business.
  • Initiate, structure, negotiate, and close used truck sales deals effectively.
  • Prepare professional quotations, vehicle specifications, and finance-related documentation where required.
  • Present suitable used truck solutions and proposals to assist clients in making informed purchasing decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal requirements, including CPA regulations and accurate completion of sales documentation.
  • Maintain regular networking and promotional activities to increase market share and grow the used truck customer base.
  • Work closely with management to implement effective sales strategies and identify opportunities to improve sales performance and profitability.
  • Build and maintain long-term customer relationships through professional service and high levels of customer care.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years commercial / truck sales experience within a franchised dealership environment.
  • Matric / Grade 12 essential.
  • Experience within a high-volume commercial dealership preferred.
  • Must be self-motivated, target-driven, and sales focused.
  • Strong lead generation, negotiation, and deal-closing ability.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced sales environment.
  • Experience on MS Office, Evolve, and Sales Workplace advantageous.
  • Valid drivers licence essential Code 14 advantageous.
  • Clear criminal and ITC record.
  • Previous exposure to brands such as Tata, Isuzu, Scania, Volvo, FAW, MAN, Mercedes-Benz Trucks, Powerstar, Iveco, Dongfeng, JMC, Hyundai, Nissan UD, Mitsubishi Fuso, Freightliner, Western Star, Ashok Leyland, Kenworth, or Peterbilt beneficial.
  • Previous B2B and fleet sales experience advantageous.
  • Established industry relationships within the trucking and commercial sector highly beneficial.
  • Candidates residing in the Middelburg region will be preferred; however, candidates willing to relocate will also be considered.
