As a Repair Technician, you will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, rebuilding and quality-checking flexible medical equipment. You will work closely with internal technical teams to ensure that critical devices are restored to OEM quality standards, remain safe for patient use, and are processed in a timely and compliant manner.

Job Purpose

Key Responsibilities

Drive quality standards, maintain internal customer relationships, and ensure all repair documentation, tooling controls, and service records are completed accurately and on time.
Perform inspection, fault finding and repairs.
Carry out major repairs including internal component replacement, articulation systems, channel repairs, optical systems and full rebuilds.
Conduct final quality inspections and functional testing before release.
Ensure all repairs are completed in accordance with OEM procedures and standards.
Maintain accurate job cards, parts usage records, and repair reports.
Support and mentor junior technicians in inspection and minor repair activities.
Assist in maintaining workshop tools, fixtures, and calibrated test equipment.
Troubleshoot complex failures and identify root causes.
Support continuous improvement of repair quality, turnaround time, and workshop efficiency.

Ensure compliance with ISO quality standards and internal procedures.

Qualifications & Skills Required

National Diploma or relevant qualification in biomedical, electrical, electronics, or mechanical engineering with 2 - 5 years specialist repair experience

Proficiency in MS Office suite (will be tested).

Regulatory Knowledge: Good understanding of medical device regulations, ISO 13485 principles, and controlled repair environments.

Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and troubleshooting ability to diagnose complex equipment failures and provide timely solutions.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact professionally with colleagues and stakeholders.
Customer Focus: Commitment to quality, service delivery, and patient safety.
Time Management: Ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines, and maintain productivity.

Attention to Detail: High level of precision required for delicate optical and mechanical assemblies
