Role Overview
A well-established law firm based in Centre Randburg is seeking a highly experienced and independent Senior Bond / Conveyancing Secretary to join their conveyancing department. This is a bond-driven role and requires a candidate who has substantial hands-on experience managing bond registrations and bond cancellations across multiple major banks.
The successful candidate must be able to manage the full bond lifecycle from receipt of instruction through to lodgement, registration, and finalisation, without supervision. The role requires someone who is comfortable working in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment and who understands bank turnaround times, compliance requirements, and Deeds Office procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Full end-to-end bond registrations and bond cancellations
- Managing multiple bank panels simultaneously
- Drafting bond documentation, guarantees, compliance packs, and lodgement documentation
- Liaising with banks, estate agents, clients, and attorneys
- Monitoring milestones and ensuring SLA compliance
- Attending to Deeds Office lodgements and tracking registrations
- Resolving bond-related queries proactively
- Proven experience as a Senior Bond / Conveyancing Secretary
- Extensive experience with major banks including ABSA, FNB, Nedbank, Standard Bank, and SA Home Loans
- Independent handling of bond files
- Strong working knowledge of conveyancing systems such as Lexis Convey, E4, Stordoc, WebConvey (GhostConvey advantageous)
- Minimum 8 years bond conveyancing experience preferred
- Must be able to work full-time in-office in Centre Randburg
This role is strictly for experienced bond specialists. Junior conveyancing secretaries, transfer-only secretaries, litigation secretaries, candidate attorneys, and general legal administrators will not be considered.
