Job Description
We are looking for an experienced BEE Payroll Manager to take ownership of the end-to-end payroll function for a large and complex workforce.
Payroll Leadership- Manage the full payroll lifecycle for weekly and monthly payrolls across multiple sites and cost centres
- Review and approve salary, wage, and third-party payment files
- Ensure accurate loading and authorization of payments on the banking platform
- SARS submissions (PAYE, UIF, SDL, EMP201 & EMP501)
- Compliance with BCEA, POPIA, SARS, and internal audit requirements
- Lead and develop a team of 5 payroll professionals.
- Manage performance, workload allocation, and staff development
- Manage user access and security controls within the Sage 300 payroll system
- Payroll cost analysis
- Variance and reconciliation reports
- Partner with HR, Finance, site leadership, and executives to resolve payroll queries.
- Matric plus a Diploma or Degree in Finance, Accounting, HR, or related field
- 57 years payroll experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience with Sage 300 Payroll would be an advantage
- Experience with bank payment platforms (FNB advantageous)
