Accounts Clerk / Bookkeeper

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organised Accounts Clerk / Bookkeeper to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and efficient administration of financial transactions, including debtors, creditors, cashbooks, and general accounting support, while maintaining up-to-date and compliant financial records.

• Ensure accurate invoicing, statements, collections, credit note processing, onboarding, and reconciliations
• Perform creditor reconciliations, supplier onboarding, GRV processing, and manage payment documentation
• Verify banking, check cashier floats, process deposits, and maintain accurate cash control records
• Maintain organised filing systems and ensure audit-ready documentation
• Support internal and external audits as required

• Matric with Mathematics or Accounting
• Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role
• Experience with accounting systems (Sage / Pastel preferred)
• Strong numerical, reconciliation, and administrative skills

• High attention to detail and accuracy, and have a mathematical and analytical approach
• Strong organizational and time management skills and the ability to work under pressure
• Good communication skills (written and verbal)
• Proactive, reliable, and able to take initiative
