Assistant Warehouse Manager

We are looking to hire an experienced Assistant Warehouse Manager to join our fast growing company.

The Assistant manager will be responsible to assist with the operation of the warehouse, including ordering, receiving, stocking, processing and distribution of Products.

In the event that the Manager is out of the office, the Assistant Manager will take on his/her responsibilities, which will include locking and unlocking the Warehouse, and supervising overtime shifts during the week, and on weekends, when required.

From time to time, the Assistant manager will be expected help at events and support the Marketing team with events coordination and planning.

The Main Deliverables include:

  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, and stock control
  • Ability to manage stock ordering, receiving, and distribution processes accurately
  • Proven ability to supervise and lead a team, including managing overtime and staff discipline
  • Experience overseeing stock takes and maintaining high levels of inventory accuracy
  • Strong administrative skills, including handling stock transfers and system updates
  • Ability to develop and implement processes, procedures, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • High attention to detail with a focus on efficiency and continuous improvement
  • Ability to manage and coordinate export processes and logistics
  • Experience working with courier/logistics partners and resolving out-of-stock (OOS) issues
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to source stock and manage supply challenges
  • Ability to create structured checklists and improve operational workflows
  • Basic fleet management knowledge is advantageous
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong sense of responsibility and accountability

Experience Required:

  • High School Diploma (Matric)
  • Minimum 3 years warehouse experience.
  • Vast understanding of warehouse operations
  • Certification in production and inventory management as well as quality control.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.
