Junior Finance Manager

An exciting opportunity exists for a Financial Manager to oversee the full finance function across a diverse group of companies. This role offers the chance to work closely with senior leadership while driving compliance, reporting accuracy, and effective financial management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the finance department and manage financial resources effectively
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and manage external audits
• Prepare accurate balance sheet reconciliations, including bank, debtors, creditors, and inter-company accounts
• Implement and maintain finance policies, procedures, and systems across the group
• Produce monthly management accounts, financial reports, and annual financial statements
• Support the budgeting process and prepare detailed cash flow forecasts
• Analyze financial performance against budgets, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions
• Assist with provisional and year-end tax calculations

Requirements:

• Newly qualified CA(SA)
• Minimum qualification: BCom Honours Degree
• No preference to industry experience
• Strong financial management and leadership experience
• Solid technical knowledge of accounting principles, statutory compliance, and audit processes
• Proven ability to manage reporting, budgeting, and forecasting at a group level
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• CaseWare and MS Excel skills required
• We use MDA Property Manager, which would be advantageous, but not necessary
