Reporting Accountant

Job Description:

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Compile and submit financial reporting packs to the holding company and group stakeholders
• Monitor and report on working capital requirements and performance
• Assist with the oversight of procurement and capital expenditure processes
• Prepare divisional management accounts and reporting packs
• Maintain and strengthen internal financial controls, policies, and procedures
• Compile monthly financial presentations for executive and group management
• Prepare subsidiary reporting packs and supporting schedules
• Assist with the annual budgeting process and quarterly forecasting cycles
• Complete and submit BBBEE reporting requirements
• Collate and submit Statistics South Africa returns
• Review and release purchase orders and supplier payments
• Assist with the year-end audit process and preparation of annual financial statements
• Monitor and report on cash flow performance
• Prepare working capital reports and analyses
• Compile and report on operational statistics and key performance indicators (KPIs)
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations
• Review VAT reconciliations and submit VAT returns
• Prepare and submit income tax returns and associated statutory submissions
• Provide financial and reporting support to the Financial Manager and Finance Director
• Collaborate with finance and operational teams to ensure accurate and timely financial information
• Team management

Skills & Experience:

• CA(SA)
• Minimum 2 + years experience outside of Audit
• Ability to manage a small team
