Hostess & Reservations Coordinator

Duties:
Hostess:
Welcome and greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their assigned tables.Manage the reservations book and assist with table allocations to ensure smooth service flow.
Communicate VIP arrivals and special requests to management and service staff.
Answer incoming calls and assist guests with general enquiries.
Maintain a clean and organised hostess desk and front-of-house area.
Assist with Switchboard duties and support restaurant operations when required.
Be able to perform the duties of Reservations, Switchboard, and Hostess as operationally required.
Reservations:
Handle all reservation enquiries via email, telephone, guests, and site inspections.Manage reservation administration including quotes, invoices, and payments.
Confirm all reservations via telephone and email and ensure accurate booking records.
Ensure the DinePlan reservations system is updated and managed correctly.
Coordinate helicopter landings with helicopter companies and the security team when required.
Finalise menus with guests in consultation with the Head Chef when applicable.
Maintain professional and detailed communication with all relevant departments and guests.
Requirements:
Grade 12 (Matric).Hospitality or tourism qualification advantageous.
13 years experience in a reservations, hosting, or front-of-house hospitality role.
