Temporary Pilot Hall Engineer -Body Product

As a member of the Process Planning Production team, the incumbent will be responsible for managing the introduction of new vehicle models and model year updates through the Pre-Series Build phase. The role also ensures consistent vehicle delivery that meets KONZERN's quality standards and aligns with customer expectations throughout the product's lifecycle.

Duties:

• Assist supporting departments during pre-series build phases to ensure readiness and quality standards.
• Support the launch team in achieving key milestones, including facility functionality, dimensional targets, Meisterbock acceptance, surface quality, and corrosion benchmarks.
• Collaborate with Series Production and Quality teams to meet quality objectives, including dimensional, functional, and stability standards, as well as BIW audits, Final Vehicle audits, DRR, and flow-out.
• Participate in fitment trials to identify and resolve issues early in the build process.
• Conduct root cause analysis on build and audit-related issues, and implement effective corrective actions.
• Support Process Engineers and CFT Leaders in the design and implementation of new or modified facilities, tooling, or gauges to optimize build processes.
• Prepare and deliver written and visual feedback on corrective actions during Management Reviews.
• Manage problem sheets, including raising, tracking, and ensuring timely closure.
• Ensure the stability of assemblies and coordinate the resolution of non-conformities with relevant stakeholders, including Parts, Facilities, and Process teams.

• National N Diploma /National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
• Candidates must be a qualified Toolmaker (Tool-, Jig- and Die-maker)

• Have at least 3 years technical experience in the automotive industry and
• extensive knowledge of the vehicle production process
• 3 5 years experience on Jigs and Fixtures, or 3 5 years measuring experience in Jigs and Fixtures

• Be familiar with detailed technical drawings and fixture drawings
• Have proven analytical skills with an innovative approach to Problem Solving
• Be able to create detailed reports for distribution to relevant departments and Senior Management
• Have good communication skills (able to communicate at all levels, through presentations, verbal and in writing)
• Be willing to work overtime at short notice and willing to work shifts, be on call out/Standby.
• Be competent in Microsoft Packages (e.g. Excel and PowerPoint)

• Experience in (CATIA, CAD, Hyper KVS)
• Previous Body Shop / Vehicle dimensional experience
