Production Supervisor Durban (Automotive)

AUTOMOTIVE

Qualifications & Experience:

• Matric / Grade 12 (essential)
• National Diploma in Operations Management or relevant field (advantageous)
• Minimum of 5 years experience in steel processing, component manufacturing, or production management in a supervisory capacity
• Valid Drivers License and reliable transport
• Proficient in Microsoft Word & Excel; SAP Job Card experience beneficial

Technical Skills & Knowledge:

• Strong technical understanding of automotive steel types and processing methods
• Sound knowledge of the OHS Act and quality control procedures
• Ability to work shifts and overtime when required

Key Performance Areas:

• Plan and execute responsibilities in a cost-effective manner to support business growth and profitability.
• Monitor and manage the use of consumables, labour allocation, and overtime.

• Ensure efficient supervision and control of all departmental activities within company guidelines and performance targets.

• Effectively manage staff within the team regarding utilization, performance, motivation, discipline, and team cohesion in collaboration with management.

• Enforce quality standards and procedures as outlined in company policies and work instructions.

• Ensure timely, accurate, and complete recording of operational data and compile relevant performance reports.

• Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental standards without exception.

• Ensure structured and effective planning of resources and responsibilities to meet production targets.

• Recommend and implement improvements in processes to enhance efficiency, safety, and quality.
• Maintain and continuously improve housekeeping standards.
